Bios
Long bio (200 words)
Sam DiNicola is the owner and lead strategist of Sam DiNicola Digital, a boutique strategy and digital marketing practice for founder-led businesses, based in Jacksonville, Florida. She holds an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Florida State University (2014) and has spent more than a decade working with small businesses and founders to develop and run marketing and growth strategies.
Her focus is how AI search decides which expert-led businesses get recommended. She has taught workshops on the topic for therapy practice owners, a Jacksonville merchants association, and founder communities. She has also done AI search visibility work for Rachael of Hey Sleepy Baby, whose organic search traffic fell sharply in early 2025 as people turned to AI answers. After that work, AI-referred traffic began to appear, and customers now say they heard about her through AI.
Sam builds custom AI systems that run a business's marketing in the owner's own thinking and voice, and she uses the same approach for her own agency. She also advises on the founder bottleneck.
New clients typically begin with the AI Architecture Audit. Some continue into the Aligned Growth Partnership, and done-for-you marketing and custom AI builds are available through a fit call.

What Sam can speak about
Eight angles, each with a one-sentence summary and a line for quoting. Quotes are attributed to Sam DiNicola.
-
Summary: Many businesses that AI tools overlook have a positioning problem, and a specific one-sentence description gets them found in more searches.
Quotable line: "Many AI search problems are positioning problems wearing a technical costume. If an AI tool cannot explain what you do in one sentence, neither can your buyers."
-
Summary: Answer-first pages and a handful of basic credibility signals, starting with a complete Business Profile, give AI tools something to extract and a reason to trust it.
Quotable line: "Put the answer first and add a summary line at the top, because AI models skim. A complete Business Profile takes 30 minutes and does more for being believed by AI than a content overhaul."
-
Summary: Buyers now try to solve a problem with an AI tool before they contact anyone, so the recommendation arrives inside the answer, and Sam can describe what that looked like for two founders.
Statistics Sam cites, each with its source: 45 percent of US consumers now use AI tools to find local businesses, up from 6 percent a year earlier (BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey, 2026). 1.2 percent of local businesses appear in AI recommendations (SOCi, Local Visibility Index, 2026).
Quotable line: "AI answers are the new word of mouth. Buyers try to solve the problem with AI first, and the recommendation now comes from the answer."
Client example available: Rachael of Hey Sleepy Baby, a client for whom Sam did AI search visibility work. Her organic search traffic fell sharply in early 2025 and her revenue fell with it. After the work, AI-referred traffic appeared and customers began saying they heard about her through AI. A second founder in Sam's circle, Lacey of A Lit Up Life, saw prospects begin to find her through AI with no work from Sam.
-
Summary: When every decision routes through the founder, the business has nowhere else for a decision to land, and the fix is to redesign where decisions live.
Quotable line: "When every decision routes through the founder, the business has nowhere else for a decision to land. That is a design problem."
-
Item descripSummary: A stalled marketing plan often traces back to how the offer was packaged, and Sam can walk through what to check before spending more on marketing.
Quotable line: "When a marketing plan stalls, look at the offer first."
Client example available: a wellness brand launched a package during the COVID lockdown, and the result followed a packaging decision. The brand stays unnamed and no figures appear.tion
-
Summary: Founders who reach this revenue range often find that the expertise that built the business does not run it, because running a business is its own set of skills.
Quotable line: "At the $150K to $500K stage, the expertise that built the business will not carry it further. Running a business is its own set of skills."
-
Summary: An ad can win on every dashboard metric and still fail the business, particularly when polished creative attracts a different buyer than the business serves.
Quotable line: "An ad can win every metric on the dashboard and still fail the business."
Client example available: a retail client whose ads showed strong metrics while almost no one came into the store, told without identifying details.
-
Summary: Founders can put AI to work in their business by keeping the real person at the top of the funnel and treating an AI employee as a skill plus a scheduled task that needs an upkeep plan.
Quotable line: "Put the real you at the top of the funnel and send the clone lower. An AI employee is a skill plus a scheduled task."
On Sam's own marketing: "I run a marketing agency, and client work always wins the hour. So I built a system that markets my business whether or not I have time. It runs on my own thinking and voice, and I keep refining it."
Also available on request: marketing for health and wellness practices (marketing topics only), and why advisory work benefits from transparent flat-rate pricing.

Sam shares what she observes in client work and cites a named, dated source whenever she uses a statistic. Two figures she uses today: 45 percent of US consumers now use AI tools to find local businesses, up from 6 percent a year earlier (BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey, 2026), and 1.2 percent of local businesses appear in AI recommendations (SOCi, Local Visibility Index, 2026). She names a client only when the client has approved it, and the clients named on this page are the ones she may discuss by name.
